Alila Diwa Goa Appoints Amit Pathania As Executive Chef

Alila Diwa Goa welcomes a new man at the helm of its kitchens – Executive Chef Amit Pathania. Amit brings with him around 15 years of experience with leading luxury and business hotels as well as restaurants in India and internationally. As Executive Chef, he will direct and oversee the resort’s culinary offerings across all its food and beverage outlets.
With his varied experience and well-rounded specialities spanning Indian, Western, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, Chef Amit’s core expertise lies in managing food and beverage production operations. He began his career at The Trident, Udaipur in 1999, going on to play key roles at luxury hotels such as the Hyatt Regency New Delhi, Taj Fort Aguada Beach Resort Goa, Grand Hyatt Mumbai and Taj West End Bangalore. He further honed his culinary skills at Bon Appetit, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Dublin, Ireland led by Chef Oliver Dunne.
Prior to joining Alila Diwa Goa, Amit was the Executive Chef at Radisson Blu, Ahmedabad, where he was responsible for formulating the F&B Production Department’s management strategies and overseeing their successful execution. Amit has also been the Executive Chef at Ananda by Jaipur, a chain of fine dining restaurants in Dublin. In his three years there, Amit delighted patrons with contemporary and modern Indian cuisine given a European twist.
Amit is no stranger to media either having hosted over 12 episodes of Nokhi Anokhi, a cookery show on VTV Gujarat while also being featured in 11 dailies in Bangalore for another cookery event he hosted. He has also received recognition for conducting outstanding food festivals at the Taj Fort Aguada Beach Resort, and is a regular contributor to several leading lifestyle and trade magazines.
