Discover more about this ancient craft at the keris artisan workshop of Padepokan Brojobuwono, located in the village of Wonosari, not far from Solo. An ancestral technique from a bygone era, the keris-making process itself usually takes from six months to a year depending on which materials are used and the complexity of the design. Precious metals such as gold, silver and gemstones such as diamonds or citrines are used to adorn the most exquisite pieces.
