Design & Facilities
As the location of the Oscar-winning movie ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’, Anji is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty thanks to over 60,000 hectares of bamboo groves, with over 40 different species found within the region. The area was designed as a pilot county for ecological and green building construction, and Alila Anji has been built with the area’s outstanding natural beauty in mind, and in accordance with Alila’s strict environmental and design ethos.
The resort is designed to resemble a traditional Chinese village with white exteriors and sweeping dark-tiled roofs that blends seamlessly with its serene hillside setting. Interiors are designed to offer guests panoramic views of the surroundings at every opportunity. Clean, contemporary lines sit in harmony with elegant décor, paying homage to the rich local heritage and the simple pleasures of rarefied country living.
