Cultural Learning "Lalbagh Botanical Gardens"

Hyder Ali, the Emperor of Mysore, laid down the foundation of the Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens in the 18th century. The gardens were later completed by his son, Tipu Sultan. He imported trees and plants from various countries of the world, such as Persia, Afghanistan and France, to add to the wealth of the gardens, which boast a rich collection of almost 1000 different species of flora. The gardens encircle one of the towers erected by Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bangalore.

Active Spirit "Karnataka Golf Association"

The Karnataka Golf Association offers beautiful environs where a graceful game of golfing can be played on its picturesque 18-hole golf course. It is said that after the idea of building a course in Bangalore was put forward, Peter Thompson, the then British Open Winner, took it forward and with the help of state funds, the gates of the Karnataka Golf Association were opened in 1986.

Active Spirit "Bannerghatta National Park"

It is a natural forest with one of the largest collections of carnivores in any bio-park in the state and is home to many endangered animal species. This zoological garden is spread over area of about 25,000 acres. It consists of dense forest and scrub land, becoming home for wild animals like bison, leopard, wild boar as well as being an important corridor for elephants migrating between the Eastern and Western Ghats.

One of the main attractions here are the lion and tiger safaris. Other attractions here are a butterfly park, crocodile farm and a serpentarium. In addition, a portion of the park is used as a sanctuary for wild, rescued animals from circuses. An elephant ride in the herbivore safari facilitates viewing of these animals in their natural habitat including the bison, spotted deer, black buck, barking deer etc.
