Mark A. Edleson
President

Mark has over thirty years of experience in finance, real estate development and the leisure industry in Southeast Asia. A graduate of Stanford University and formerly a Vice President of Citibank, he was a partner in a corporate financial advisory firm for ten years before concentrating on the hotel and leisure sectors. Mark has been associated with a number of successful brands in the leisure industry. He was a founder of the Nusa Pacific Group that owns several well-regarded upscale hotel properties in Indonesia; a founding partner of GHM Indonesia, a hotel management company operating a number of boutique hotels; and one of the founding partners of The Odyssey Club, which merged with Exclusive Resorts, the world leader in private residence clubs. He was also the founding partner of Mandara Spa Asia — the leading global operator of resort spas. Mark is the driving force behind Alila’s green initiatives and community involvement projects. Frederic Flageat-Simon
CEO

Frederic graduated from Centre International de Glion, Switzerland. He has over twenty years of experience in the hotel and tourism industry in Europe and Asia. Frederic first moved to Asia with the Accor group where he participated in their hotel expansion into Indonesia and Malaysia. Since joining Alila as Managing Director in 2001, Frederic’s passion and eye for details was instrumental in growing the brand and service standards of Alila and headed the hotel development and group’s expansion in Asia. He was the driving force behind the ultra-luxe Alila Villas and its brand delivery. A passionate hotelier and a creative innovator, he has now assumed the role of CEO, overseeing all operational partnerships and new Alila initiatives. He can be reached at ffsimon@alilahotels.com

Guy Heywood
COO

Guy’s distinguished career spans two continents over ten years with Amanresorts in various regional capacities before joining Australia’s Voyages Hotels and Resorts to manage the brand’s top eight signature resorts. His credentials also include his tenure as Head of Operations for Firstlight International in Australia. In his role of Chief Operating Officer at the Alila corporate office, Guy brings with him a wealth of operational experience along with an innate knowledge in luxury services. Besides strengthening the operational components of the business, Guy enforces the brand promise and service delivery as well as ensures the business performance of each Alila hotel with good asset management practices. Doris Goh
Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Doris has a distinguished career spanning more than twenty years in the hospitality industry including a nine-year tenure as Regional Director of Sales, ASEAN with the Mandarin Oriental Group. She was also the first Asian woman to serve as education chairperson at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) in Asia as well as their representative on the Asia Pacific Council. A well respected professional, her work earned much recognition which bagged the ACTE President's Award in 2002 for her regional contributions. Besides establishing sales and marketing platforms for Alila, Doris is also involved in technical services for the Group’s development projects to position and grow the Alila brand on a global scale. Arjan de Boer
Vice President, Development

A Dutch National, Arjan graduated from the Hotel Management School Leeuwarden, Netherlands and has fourteen years of Asian hospitality experience. He served as General Manager of a privately owned and managed luxury resort in Phuket, Thailand, subsequently joining Alila Ubud as Resident Manager before being appointed General Manager in mid-2003. He joined Alila Hotels and Resorts as Director of Technical Services in December 2005 and is now heading the development team, pursuing business opportunities in South East Asia and the Middle East. Frances Dileva
Vice President, Human Resources

Frances joins Alila with more than fifteen years of human resources experience acquired across multiple countries.  Since being lured away from Australia to the Asia Pacific region ten years ago, Frances has held a number of property-based and regional roles with Hilton and in the financial services industry.  She has also previously held human resources roles with the Accor Group.  As Vice President, Human Resources, Frances will strengthen the human resources function to ensure delivery of the Alila promise to both our guests and our employees.  She can be reached at fdileva@alilahotels.com
