Alila Cha-Am was among the Top 30 New Hotels in the world in Australian Gourmet Traveller's Best of The Best Issue, published in April 2009. The beach resort was selected for its shimmering expanse of Thailand's longest white-sand beach and the architect's "modernist vision that embraces sculptural forms, natural materials and excelent feng shui beside the Gulf of Thailand."

Alila Manggis is the winner in the category of Mid-range Resorts & Hotels. Runner-up for the title was its sister resort, Alila Ubud.
Wild Asia is a Malaysian-based social enterprise that promotes and supports conservation initiatives in Asia. Its Responsible Tourism Awards was launched in 2006 to showcase resorts and small community-based ventures that best exemplify sustainable tourism and practices. Into its third year, the judging criteria widened to include economic, social and environmental principles.
